Nov 2011. Urban Ed Enterprises' Board of Directors decides to expand from only learning projects to full IT Support for the public in general, including being a subcontractor on government projects and hardware procurements.
Oct 2011. Urban Ed Enterprises' supports graduates of the pilot launch of the region's only IT Help Desk Apprenticeship.
Jul 2011. Urban Ed Enterprises' recertified as a National Minority Supplier Council and Maryland/DC Minority Supplier Development Council firm.
Dec 2010. Urban Ed Enterprises' is a key sponsor of Benevole, Inc., a new nonprofit that supports serving the needs of other non-profits, as they serve the needs of people. Their first event was a true success, held on U Street in DC with over 100 attending.
Jun 2010. Urban Ed Enterprises granted CBE certification via the District of Columbia. We received 12 preference points that covered 2 for LBE (local business); 3 for SBE (small business); 2 for DBE (disadvantaged business); 2 for DZE (disadvantaged zone business); 5 for ROB (resident-owned business).
May 2007. Urban Ed Enterprises' Board of Directors finalizes strategic direction and business plan for remainder of the 2007 year. Community and customer service central focal points.
February 2007. Urban Ed Enterprises granted HUB Zone certification. (cert still active)
November 2006. Urban Ed Enterprises decides to locate in distraught neighborhood to help stimulate economic development.
